Джурабаев Д.Х.
One of the important and scantily studied problems of the history of the Tajik nation is that one of overcoming the political, economic, social crisis in the second half of the XVIII-th the first half of the XIX-th cc. The middle of the XVIII-th century is a complicated period in the history of Middle Asia permeated with political events and struggle for power. One should note that in the East, just as in the West, legitimateness of power played an important role in a formation of dynasties. The author of the article elucidates the ceremonial of “ raising on a white koshma” revived by the governors of Mangyt dynasty of Bukhara Khanate proceeding from such original sources, as “Tuhfat-al-khoni” by Mukhammed Vefoyi Karmineghi, “Tadge-ut-tavorikh” by Mukhammed Sharif, “Tarikh-i- avoilu avokhir” by Muin, “Risola” by Mukhmmed Yakub Amir Daniyol, “Notes” by Mirza Shems Bukhari and other works. The article gives a description of elevation to the throne of Mangyt atalyk Mukhammed Rakhim-biy who had killed the governor of Bukhara khanate Abulfaiz-khan Ashtarkhanid and usurped the power; the events referring to the XVIII-th century. Striving to make the usurped power legitimate and to subordinate non-submissive feudal – emirs Rakhim-biy, being no deseendant of Chinghiz-khan, accededed to Bukhara throne in 1756 having revived the ancient Mongolian-Turcik ritual of raising a newly elected khan on a white koshma. This rite was a culminating stage of a behavioristic symbol of power in Bukhara khanate. Objectively Rakhim-biy`s actions promoted a unision of separated feudal areas and a rise of a unified centralized state.
