TIBET – ACHILLES HEEL OF ETHNO-CONFESSIONAL AREA OF CHINA

The article is devoted to difficult situation in Tibetian Autonomous Region of PRC, which is situated directly on the southern borders of RF and endangers peace and safety in Central Asia. Heightened interest of certain power in the world to create a new center of international tension by fomenting interconfessional and interethnic conflicts makes the situation worse. Specificity of historical development of Tibet, its difficult relations with Beijing and the fact that Tibet is a spiritual center of Buddhistic world, gives modern situation in TAR an international significance in the case of stability protection in the large region of Central Asia. TAR takes one of the last places in per person income list and fully depends on centralized grants. Intensive resettlement of han Chinese people to this region was caused by high development of natural resources industry of TAR. But this process had broken all peculiarities of agricultural traditions of this area. As a result this fact became a reason for serious interethnic conflicts in Tibetian Autonomous Region.
