PROBLEMS OF FUNCTIONING OF SYSTEM OF PROTECTION OF MOTHERHOOD AND CHILDHOOD IN THE CHECHEN REPUBLIC, 1990–2005

In the article the analysis of the status and development of the system of protection of motherhood and childhood in the Chechen Republic in the most difficult period in its history: 1990–2005 biennium, noted the difficulties in the development of health. The author reveals and convincingly shows the regional differences in the development of the system of healthcare and protection of maternity and childhood of the Chechen Republic, connected with political development. The article presents statistical data on the number of medical institutions of all kinds, including medical personnel, vaccination campaigns, demographic data. Noted and analyzed the environmental and social problems affecting the growth of morbidity among children. Shows the progress in the restoration of the system of protection of motherhood and childhood in post-war period, the measures are identified by state authorities and improvement of the position of women in society and its protection.
