THE LIFE AND WORK OF THE DAGESTAN THEOLOGIANS OF THE XVIII CENTURY (AL-USISHI, AL-URADI, AL-AYMAKI, AL-MACHADI) IN LOCAL ARABIC-LANGUAGE BIOGRAPHIC COMPOSITIONS OF XIX – EARLY OF THE XX CENTURY

In the article on the basis of studying of Dagestan biographic works of the beginning of the XX century, written in the Arabic language in different genres, the data on life and work of the Dagestan theologians of.XVIII century – Daud al-Usishi, Ibrahim al-‘Uradi, Abu-Bakr al-‘Aymaki also Hadith al-Machadi are systematized. The attention is focused on the main milestones of their life, their education, activity and written heritage.The data on them collected and recorded by Shu‘ayb al-Bagini and ‘Ali al-Ghumuqi (Kayaev) in their works“Tabakat al-khvadjakan an-Naqshbandiyavasadatmasha’ikh al-Khalidiya al-Mahmudiya” and “Taradjim ‘ulama’i Dagestan” are published for the first time. There are considered various aspects of political, public and cultural life of Dagestan in the XVIII century in the context of biographies of theologians.
