TRANSFORMATION OF THE IDEOLOGICAL PARADIGM IN THE LAST DECADE OF SOVIET POWER

Никонова С.И.
The article highlights some aspects of the transformation of governmental policy in the field of ideology in the 1960-1980 -ies. The author considers the attempts to correct ideological constants as a desire to preserve the system of the communist elite, but excluding the realities of the time, these attempts were doomed to failure. Program of the CPSU (1961), The Moral Code of the Builder of Communism, the concept of a developed socialist society and other ideological programs were not supported in the community, the Soviet people formally accepted. The basis was the official ideology of Marxism-Leninism, and it was considered not only the most advanced teaching, but only true. Leading ideologues of the country, its political leaders have failed to properly “correct” Marxism-Leninism, to adapt it to new realities postulates. Moreover, the government was confident in the inviolability of the official ideology and underestimated the crisis of Soviet society, increasingly associated just with the ideological sphere. Unwillingness and inability to adjust the power of the ideological paradigm led to the collapse of the socialist ideology, and ultimately to the collapse of the USSR and the socialist system.
