ETHNO-DEMOGRAPHIC MAP OF DAGESTAN IN THE XV – XVII CENTURIES, ACCORDING TO THE RESEARCHERS AND TRAVELERS

In the article the analysis of the ethno demographic map of Dagestan of the XV-XVII centuries which is made according to researchers containing works and the travellers who have visited Dagestan during the considered period, and also these local historical chronicles and reports of the Russian officials is carried out. It is noted that certain data on history, the population of the Caucasus as a whole, and Dagestan in particular, contain in Ionn Golonifontibus, Evliya Chelebi, Adam Oleary’s valuable works, in reports of the Russian voivodes, diplomats, in historical chronicles of local authors, etc. Figures about number of subject certain feudal lords, about number of rebels, soldiers of this or that feudal lord, inhabitants of certain villages and the cities, immigrants during the separate historical periods, about their national and religious identity of the population living in the territory of Dagestan are analysed.
