ANALYSIS OF POPULATION NORTH OSSETIA XX CENTURY

The scientific study of the socio-demographic development has always occupied an important place in the humanities, studying these problems. This is important for regions and republics of particular geopolitical significance and internal diversity. North Ossetia during the XX century experienced the ups and downs in the growth rate and the total number of multi-ethnic population. Republic of North Ossetia -Alania, as one of equal subjects of the Russian Federation , is still suffering from a variety of patterns and the degree of displacement. Demographic challenges are for North Ossetia great importance due to their special urgency. The consequences of such extreme factors , like the First World (1914-1918 gg.) And the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945), Russian -Japanese War (1904-1905 gg.) , The revolution of 1905-1907 and in 1917 , the Civil War ( 1918-1920), mass repression, famine years, “voluntary- compulsory” collectivization of agriculture and others, was not spared and North Ossetia. North Ossetia, as a historical and geographical community, was formed and acquired the modern definition as a set of multi-ethnic population.
