N.P. DRUZHININ: THE PERSON AND THE CITIZEN IN THE PRE-REVOLUTIONARY RUSSIAN PROVINCE (1858–1941)

The article focuses on N. P. Druzhinin¢s civic work in Pre-revolutionary Russia in 1858–1941. The N. P. Druzhinin¢s achievement is popularization of civil rights among simple people. N.P. Druzhinin chose to live in the province in order to learn peasants¢ life. The writer¢s ideas of the social purpose of a person and a citizen remain actual nowadays. The author considers the biography N. P. Druzhinina in the context of his public life. Show Activities N. P. Druzhinina as a popularizer of legal knowledge among the people. Special attention is paid to educate N. P. Druzhinin, namely, the creation and organization of the national library of readings. Comprehensively considered journalistic work N. P. Druzhinina as the author of numerous articles and creator of regional newspapers.
