AGRICULTURE AND THE PEASANTRY OF THE VYATKA REGION DURING MASS COLLECTIVIZATION

The article is about tendencies and the processes which took place in Vyatka countryside in late twenties – the beginning of the 1940s, during the of mass collectivization. The situation in agrarian sector of the Vyatka province by the time of mass creation of collective farms is characterized. Dynamics of collective-farm construction, difficulty are analyzed at collectivization implementation, reaction of the peasantry to carried-out transformations, the measures undertaken by the authorities on correction of the agrarian policy. Raskulachivaniye is considered as an important condition of implementation of the accelerated collectivization. Changes in field-crop cultivation, stock-raising, agrarian engineering, social structure of the Vyatka countryside as a result of socialist reconstruction of agrarian sector are are observed. Positive and negative consequences of collectivization are observed. The vital and economic activity of Vyatka peasantry during mass collectivization is shown in Russian context together with the regional specific.
